Netsurit joined accounting and advisory leaders from across the BDO Alliance USA community in Las Vegas this month as a sponsor and speaker at the 2026 BDO Alliance USA Conference: BDO EVOLVE<\/a>. The event took place from May 3 \u2013 6 2026 at the Fontainebleau Las Vegas and brought together more than 2,000 attendees for more than 100 sessions focused on the future of the accounting profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This annual conference, one of the BDO Alliance USA most important gatherings, focused on the issues reshaping modern accounting firms, such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, private equity, advisory growth, talent, culture, and technology adoption. AI was a recurring theme across keynote sessions and breakouts, from AI agents and automation to governance, adoption, ROI, and the future role of accounting professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the team at Netsurit, the event was an opportunity to engage directly with partners, clients and industry players on a central question now facing the profession: how to move from technology experimentation to measurable business value. As one of the event sponsors, Netsurit connected with firms throughout the conference, where more than 100 exhibitors participated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Netsurit was represented by Dr Alex Heublein<\/a>, Fred Masciangelo<\/a>, Andrew Cohen<\/a> and Tony Schirack<\/a>, with Dr Heublein, Chief AI & Innovation Officer at Netsurit, contributing to the event\u2019s AI discussions. His presentation focused on helping accounting firms move beyond the \u201cquick fix\u201d view of AI and think more strategically about where it can create measurable value in daily firm operations. His message linked closely to Netsurit\u2019s work with BDO Alliance USA members: applying AI to real workflows such as client onboarding, month-end processes, compliance, support and advisory delivery, while keeping security, governance and ROI at the centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A key theme emerging from the event was that AI adoption in accounting is moving beyond curiosity and isolated use cases. Firms are now looking for structured, secure and commercially relevant ways to apply AI to client onboarding, workflow automation, audit-ready compliance, help desk support, month-end close, and advisory services. Netsurit\u2019s work with BDO Alliance USA members is aligned to this shift, helping firms apply AI and managed IT to improve efficiency, strengthen security and deliver measurable results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Heublein explained, \u201cAI is no longer sitting in the innovation corner of the accounting profession. It is moving into the day-to-day work of firms, into client service, internal workflows, compliance, reporting and decision-making. What stood out at BDO Alliance USA EVOLVE is that firms are ready to move, but they want to move with purpose. The real opportunity is not to use AI because everyone is talking about it, but to apply it where it removes friction, improves capacity and creates better outcomes for clients.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The discussion around AI was also closely linked to leadership and change management. Several conference sessions explored how firms can prepare their people for new ways of working, scale AI responsibly, and move from pilots to firm-wide adoption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
