The business challenge

The accounting firm was wasting the time of skilled resources by manually capturing and transferring tax return records from cloud-based tax and accounting solution CCH Axcess to SharePoint Online. The task took between 40 to 50 hours per month to complete and cost approximately $2,000 – $3,000 per month.

The solution

Netsurit designed, built, and implemented an automated workflow using Microsoft Power Automate. The workflow periodically and automatically copies the tax return data from CCH Axcess to SharePoint Online. A dashboard was built to represent the data in a way that is business-friendly and easy to understand. All the tools used for the project were readily available within the client’s Microsoft 365 subscription.

What was the result?

With workflow automation, employees no longer have to perform monotonous tasks, like data entry and can instead focus on innovative projects that help the company grow.

The accounting firm is saving 40 to 50 work hours or $2,000 to $3,000 per month (or $24,000 – $36,000 annually) and has the ability to reallocate the human resources to areas that would better utilize their individual skills.
