June 28, 2012 – PRLog — Business connectivity and solutions provider MWeb Business announced the names of the recipients of its 2011 / 2012 Channel Partner of the Year awards at a function held at the Fire and Ice Hotel, in Melrose Arch, last week.
This is the second successive year that Netsurit, a Johannesburg-based IT company, has been named as the MWeb Business Partner of the Year.
Durban-based Aptronics walked away with two awards – KZN Regional Partner of year and runner-up to Netsurit in the National award category.
For the first time, MWeb Business introduced special award categories for its Wholesale partners.
According to MWeb Business GM Andre Joubert, MWeb’s Wholesale partner programme has experienced significant growth over the past year.
“Our Wholesale partners welcome the flexibility and freedom our programme provides for them to grow their businesses, secure in the knowledge that the MWeb Business’ white label products they provide to their customers are robust, innovative and extremely competitively priced,” he added.
Joubert said the MWeb Partner Awards winners exemplify MWeb Business’ philosophy of delivering IT solutions that help customers to reduce costs while using their investment in IT tools, information and the Internet in ways that add real value and insight to their operations.
“Their unwavering focus on service delivery, as well as their commitment to being true MWeb Business partners, makes the winners worthy recipients of the 2011/12 MWeb Business Channel Partner Awards,” he concluded.
Netsurit is a South African managed outsourced IT company that specializes in the maintenance and servicing of small and medium enterprise (SME) networks. Orrin Klopper, the co-founder and entrepreneur of Netsurit became involved in the IT industry when he was still studying at Rand Afrikaans University (RAU) in 1994, selling shoes and clothes at hostels for spare cash while finishing his B.Com degree. It was then that he met Rian Van der Walt, now Netsurit`s Technology Director and one of Orrin’s best friends. Rian at the time was selling computers and engineering calculators while finishing his engineering degree. Because B.Com wasn`t such a demanding degree, Orrin decided to do an extra major in Computer Science and found it extremely interesting. Rian saw Orrin’s sales abilities and approached him to sell computers and engineering calculators. Orrin started selling computers and engineering calculators in 1995 and at the end of 1996, he decided that providing technology solutions to customers was really his true passion. In true dotcom style, Orrin and Rian started their operation from home in 1997. By the end of the following year, they came up with a concept of focusing on providing outsourcing services and support to small to medium enterprises (SMEs). In 1999, the duo signed their first office lease agreement and Netsurit was born.
