PRINCE2 PROJECT METHODOLOGY
Project Management Office
Netsurit PMO (Project Management Office) applies a comprehensive set of project governance principles to its own activities. Our PMO follows the PRINCE2 project management methodology. We have certified PRINCE2 Practitioners and PRINCE2 Agile Practitioners, as well as certified PMI-ACP Agile Communications Practitioners. The PRINCE2 methodology emphasises dividing projects in a manageable and controllable way, so as to assist us in delivering our projects successfully.
However, as Netsurit participates in projects and operations at a large variety of customers, many of whom have their own entrenched project governance principles and practices, PMO endeavours to align with the project governance approach of each client as far as possible, while providing input to ensure that governance goals are achieved. PMO predominately managers Microsoft PaaS and IaaS and data centre projects. Many of these projects are made up of transitions, Azure migration projects, O365 implementation projects (MFA, TEAMS, Mail, MIM etc.), Advanced Threat Analytics, Mail migrations etc. With managed services being a key offering from Netsurit, the PMO have many transition projects i.e. transitioning our managed services sold into support and operations. Our transition approach leverages a hybrid of waterfall and agile practices, which we have found has helped us successfully transition our services sold into operations.
Client satisfaction and feedback is important to us, so we make sure CSAT’s are done on every project, and our quality department audits the PMO monthly to make sure our set governance is being adhered to. The PMO team is a diverse dynamic team, that tackle challenges head on, and truly live our value of family by supporting one another and pulling together to accomplish challenges that may come our way.

Public and Hybrid Cloud
A lot of thought needs to be given to the specific cloud strategy that is best suited for a given customer. In enterprise customer’s the decision is usually a hybrid cloud strategy with some workloads deployed in the customers private cloud (their own datacentre) and some workloads in a public cloud like Microsoft Azure. At Netsurit we have the expertise to advise on that but also ensure that the hybrid / public cloud workloads are managed and secured properly. In some instances, this will require the deployment of Azure Stack with integration into Azure, alternatively using the Microsoft System Centre tools to ensure seamless management, whether the virtualization technology in use is Hyper-V or VMWare.

Monitoring and Security
For effective monitoring of a hybrid cloud infrastructure it is critical to have enhanced visibility, manageability, reliability and security of infrastructure and workloads. But most existing monitoring tools are still primarily targeted at on-premises infrastructure and do not have the required functionality to monitor cloud and onpremises hybrid infrastructures.
Data Centre
At Netsurit we have deep technical skills on the two most widely used virtualisation platforms, namely Hyper-V and VMware. Our virtualisation and datacentre experience include projects at some of the largest banks in South Africa.
Hyper V
Microsoft’s virtual machine capability. Introduced in Windows Server 2008, it enables multiple instances of Windows, Linux and other operating systems to run simultaneously. It uses the paravirtualsation method, which requires the operating system be modified to run as a virtual machine. As server virtualisation becomes more important to businesses as a cost-saving and security solution, and as Hyper-V becomes a major player in the virtualisation space.
Hypervisor technology is software on which multiple virtual machines can run, with the hypervisor layer controlling the hardware and allocating resources to each VM operating system. Hyper-V is the virtualisation platform that is included in Microsoft Windows Server.
VMware
To minimize the impact of any disruption, VMware delivers a comprehensive, integrated portfolio of business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) solutions. VMware BC/DR solutions increase the availability of your workloads and your data, and, in case your primary data center fails, replicate your data to a secondary site and orchestrate recovery quickly and reliably.
Systems Management and Operations
Through Microsoft System Center we can deliver a simplified cloud and datacentre management experience that will keep you in control – whether on-premises, in the cloud computing services or across platforms. We use System Center to increase efficiency through automated processes and self-service.
